It is an awesome product and I am sad that I killed the camera while trying to install it (my fault, whoop)s so I can't use it.

It hasn’t arrived, it’s still in non EU customs import. I’m sure it’s great, this is the 2nd one I’ve bought.

Your instructions are very detailed and clear. One very small issue was that the soldered pins on the PCB extend too far through the PCB, and had to be shortened for the mechanism to sit on the PCB correctly. A big issue for me, because I have a case by another vendor, was that the HAT eliminates the use of the heat sinks and fan for the rpi4, which are both sternly recommended, to prevent premature failure of the chips due to heat. This is both a physical interference, and electrical, as the fan uses the rpi4 pin forest power, so I cannot in good conscience recommend this kit.

This is tiny pan and tilt HAT which can easily accomodate the version 1 and 2 PiCameras. It doesn't say so, but I think the HQ camera and lens would be too heavy. The provided clip wouldn't fit anyway. The software library is simple to understand. If I have any complaints it is that the unit was not calibrated correctly. It would not look staight up at -90 tilt, and 0 pan left it looking slightly to one side. I needed this unit to access the full range and for it to be fairly accurate. The calibration numbers are found in the program at sudo nano /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/pantilthat/pantilt.py as servo1.min, servo1.max etc. Having changed the numbers it now has the full range, and is more accurate. Perhaps at a future update the numbers could be accessed from an .ini file, or even have their own off-set calibration command. Anyhow it is a great piece of kit for the price.
