“As you can see have already put it in it’s protective silicone shell. My 2nd V2 micro:bit as I’m going to use it to detect my door opening while I’m out. Really easy to get it hooked up to raspberry pi to upload code etc.
Well worth the small price, it has a lot of built in sensors which makes it a pleasure to integrate into my cctv burglar alarm.”
“Just as good as V1 micro:bit, with extras. More memory, built-in speaker. Solid, well engineered product.
As for Pimoroni, how is it possible to order in mid-afternoon, and receive the product the next day, and at standard postage rates? Consistently excellent service.”
“Micro:bit v2 is a wonderful kit for kids to learn programming. coding using scratch like interface using blocks is really nice amd easy to inderstand for kids. My son was creating some music, we also created a multi device rock paper scissor code and it was fun.
On the downside, there were times when the code went above the memory available in micro:bit. However, we had to blindly delete lines of codes and compile a few times until it came down in size. It would be nice if they can implement some sort of way to inform users whether the compiled version of the current code would not fit in micro:bit. and then a few times there were issues with connecting using bluetooth.
But we are happy to ignore those few things as the joy from coding was immense, and I'm sure they're probably isolated events.”
“All the great things about the BBC micro:bit V2, have most probably already been said.
Ordering from Pimoroni was easy, and the delivery was fast. I've already ordered from Pimoroni again.”
