“I’ll be honest - I used to think of microbits as a but Mickey Mouse. In fact they are absolutely brilliant. It is remarkable that 10 year old kids at my STEM club can produce the most amazing projects with sounds, light, movement with amazing ease on one hand…but they are also surprisingly powerful little devices and I now find that I reach for them instead of Picos or Arduinos for many of my own projects. Bluetooth is a current plus.
There’s so much built into the Microbit - the microphone, magnetometer and accelerometer in particular, and also a great range of well supported add-ons.
My only disappointment is that I didn’t discover these sooner!”
