Useful compact device. The built in sensors are useful and the ability to run micropython is great. Support for Arduino or similar for coding would assist with getting the most from the device. Reliable operation on batteries makes it useful in the field.

Simple to use with lots of features built in. I’m using this one to make a parachute pod for a water rocket.

I love the micro:bit and my kids do too. Much more straightforward than the Raspberry Pi or Arduino for young kids.

I needed another micro:bit so that I could create an Altair 8800 emulator. Works great and so much smaller and cheaper than the original.

Amazing bit of kit for the money. The array of sensors and accessibility of the MakeCode programming language mean that even a novice user can be creating interesting projects in a few minutes. But beware, once you've got a micro:bit you're likely going to want some of the add-ons too (the enviro:bit and scroll:bit spring immediately to mind).
