“Nice starter kit for a child starting out with micro:bit. I was finding it difficult to choose between this kit and the Inventor's Kit and finally went with this as it seemed less overwhelming to start with. Experiments are fun, start out simple and slowly build in complexity. Good intro to how to use a breadboard, basic electronic components and MakeCode. I'm impressed at how well designed the instructions were - I didn't need to help my child at all. And the extensions and the information really sparked their interest.
Only caveat is that the breadboard breakout in this kit covers a lot of the breadboard (as compared to the edge connector breakout board in the Inventor's Kit which gives you the whole breadboard to play with). But it's fine for little fingers, I had no complaints from my child, she loved it.”
“All you need to start playing with the micro:bit when you are done with the basic things like measuring the temperature or which button is pressed. The outbreak board is a must when you need more that the 5 "big" pins.”
