“Runs games well! The buttons are quite clicky, which you may or may not like, the screen works well, and the motor works very well, but I'm not sure fully how it works and what its limitations are. The Piezo buzzer was actually rectangular, not circular, but it works exactly the same, so don't worry. It's not good for more complicated music tracks, however. I would recommend buying different hardware with speakers for that. Otherwise, it plays sounds and small tunes pretty accurately! The Reset and Menu buttons are underneath the acrylic which sometimes makes it hard to tell whether you pressed them or not, but it still works fine! I would've preferred a D-Pad instead of the buttons, but they work perfectly without being a D-Pad so I honestly don't mind. Would recommend as a more budget options for MakeCode Arcade hardware.”
“My 10 year old has really enjoyed using this. The screen is smaller than I expected but was big enough for what he wants to do. Took us a while to work out how to get his game from the laptop to the device but now we know what to do it will be very easy in the future.
Would recommend for children who enjoy coding. My son was only using scratch coding before this but found the make code arcade editor easy to use as well”
“Arcade is a brilliant little system for teaching kids to code arcade games.
We had our first game written, up and running within 30 mins, with my 11 year old son doing all the work.
Very highly recommended”
