“It's a handy selection of components and ideas. But it's cheap and it shows. The box is so flimsy that you can't really use it to store the kit when not in use. Some components don't match the manual (e.g. tilt switch - now has 4 wires?). Some components not described well enough to know how to use them (e.g. push buttons - what do the 4 wires do?). Printing in the manual is small and hard to read, and the breadboard pictures are even worse. Hard to tell what wire to connect where, without cross-referencing with the circuit diagram, which is laid out very differently. Resistors are so tiny it's hard to read the colour bands - maybe printing on the sticky strip, or a loupe, would help?”
“Bought this kit to work through with my daughter who is 11, we are both enjoying it very much, it is very informative and contains everything you need to get to grips with coding simple projects. I have found that using a small magnifier helps with identifying some of the smaller components.”
