This is the best SDR stick I've used. Instant boost for my FR24 et al feeds. And at a brilliant price. If you just want a adsb rx this is the one.

It doeswhat it should - picks up aircraft from up to 200 miles away with just a crude homemade antenna stuck on a cake tin on the kitchen windowsill and feeds it into a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Need to do a bit more experimenting with an external antenna mounted a bit higher on the shed roof (homemade again) but it's dead easy to set up and get results

I bought this dongle for a up and coming project but the author has not released the code yet. So have been testing it on modesdeco2 and dump1090. And i have to say with the built in filter etc this dongle performs extremely well ,better than my other standard dongle. This dongle has been designed to perform on 1090mhz and you will not be disappointed.

Allied with external 1090MHz antenna and SMA coax, this is the perfect accesdory for a Raspberry Pi based ADS-B node uploading to any centralised system such as FR24. Works very well and is reasonably priced with quick delivery.

Swapped to this after previously using an RTL-SDR v3 and LNA4ALL. Does the job perfectly and is more than an adequate replacement. Bargain price too!

A very competent item indeed! This receiver was used in conjunction with the 5.5db gain aerial and 8meter cable (also supplied by Pimoroni) together which were capable of identifying commercial aircraft flying as far away as the Bristol area! This was from just North of Sheffield. The aerial was at around 25ft above ground level and given that its location is in a depression I can only say that the results were excellent. Here is the actual equipment used.
