The FireBeetle is one of the coolest microcontrollers I got to work on. It has a lot of good features. I bought it, because of its Bluetooth capabilities. You can just connect it to your PC via Bluetooth and use the Inputs as keypresses. Very handy!

It was hard to get into bootmode - RST button must be held the entire time from the moment 'upload' is pressed until the program is completely uploaded. As soon as 'connecting...' is shown, start repeatedly pressing the boot button on the opposite side. Sometimes it takes a few tries! The connectivity is great with Bluetooth and Wifi, and will show up on phones! There is a bright RGB led on the board, great for wearable projects. The onboard lipo port is handy for portable projects - like my solar-powered hearing aid! Overall, a good little board for wireless projects that need to be lightweight and portable. It may be hard for beginners to understand how to enter bootmode and start it initially, but there are a good amount of examples on hand to understand some basic functions.

For the price I find it better than other more well know boards and has better connectivity built in. It does not have the same support as other brands so maybe not suitable for a novice. Having said thar I have had no issues setting up and using for projects and there are a few examples on the internet. Very happy with it.

Great ESP-32 implementation if you're looking for low power. You need to cut a trace on the back as per the docs, then in deep sleep it averages 16 uA.
