Good brightness, from all colours and white. Different response curve to the 3-colour strip and the flexible strings, so a bit of rework needed to my lighting effect scripts, but well worth it. Can't use the plasmastick led_strip libraries, rgb only, so I've gone back to the basic neopixel library. Good fun working out the proper algorithms for different effects!

Ahoy Kevin! Our Plasma library should support RGBW LEDs: https://github.com/pimoroni/pimoroni-pico/tree/main/micropython/modules/plasma#rgbw-and-setting-colour-order . Feel free to drop us an email at support@pimoroni.com if you're having trouble :)

If you ever see lights snaking past you, it's my attempt to encircle the planet with these things. So far I have three strips end to end. You'll need some high current wires to add 0V and 5V at the strip ends as the flexible PCB won't power more than one and a bit strips. And a warm power supply.

This is great and works really well, good results on a budget. One thing to note, the Arduino library linked off the Pimoroni page does not work correctly with it. I fought it for a couple of hours before trying the Adafruit Neopixel library which worked perfectly immediately.

Best compromise between cost and number of pixels per meter.

Very bright LEDs and easy to use, comes in a nice protective, flexible cover. One LED at the end had balls of solder on the connectors, which made it difficult to use with the "LED Strip Connector Cable 3 pin" cable I bought from this site as the clasp would not close, so I ended up having to cut one LED off to get a nice flat connector (didn't have soldering iron/sucker to remove the solder :()

Super-bright and able to tolerate my second-rate soldering.
