“Very nicely made heat sink case. My only slight disappointment is that I needed to fix it onto a vertical wooden board, and without any pre-drilled holes for fixing to anything, I resorted to using sticky velcro tape. That worked for a few weeks, but when I last looked, it had fallen off and was hanging on by the power wire and the ethernet patch cable (it is mounted next to my router and serving a WordPress website). When I get some time, will see if I can drill and countersink a single hole somewhere in the base (I'm a retired aeronautical engineer, and don't believe in over-engineering anything!)”
Ahoy John! Thanks for the review. You could replace the M2.5 x 10mm bolts that come with the case with some longer ones, and screw through the wood from the other side to mount the Pi? (or use longer screws to attach some sort of hook/bracket?)
“Good solid construction and a very effective heat sink - gets quite warm. Only minor drawback is that there is some degrading of the the 5G wifi connection but is likely to be the situation with any metal case/heatsink”
“This is a nice case for the Raspberry Pi 4. Designed with the heatsink and case as one unit, this saves buying a separate heatsink.
Full instructions are included. You will need to cover three chips with a heat transfer sticker and you get two sets of these in the box, in case you make a mistake. Then it is simply four screws to put the case on and the tool is included too.
Not only practical, this looks good too and is available in a nice range of colours.”
