“Great case. Without massive passive cooling the new Pi gets to hot and is throttled. CPU stays below 63 under load but the case is not too hot to burn your hands or desk.”
“I originally bought the 4GB version with a fan shim to run alarm (arch with pi4 kernel) running lxde, x2go, openvpn, deluge and emby as a docker container.
At most, it used 300MB of ram, really low! So I decided to try with the 1GB version and the fancy alu heatsink/case (no fan).
It works a treat, the CPU temp hovers ~73 degrees when decoding 265 media, under the 80 throttling limit. Perfect.”
