“A very good passive heatsink case for the PI 4.
Very well packaged and with one spare of join, I like it very much
Sent Quickly received in London area in one week.”
“I've overclocked my pi4 and it's still stable with this case, haven't maxed it out though, would expect I need a fan for that but haven't tried, haven't needed to”
“would prefer to be able to use thermal compound without the need of a thermal pad to take up space. between ram and heatsink.
otherwise a nice passive heatsink case.”
“The Raspberry Pi 4B series does get terribly hot, and these passive-cooling cases are the most stylish way to prevent heat-related burnout. I opted for the "Heliodor Gold" model to maximise my desktop Bling factor, but the other metallic colours were certainly tempting! If nothing else, the gold matches the brassy colour of the GPIO pins, and contrasts nicely with the green circuit board.
I find that the heat distribution is excellent. When I'm pushing my RPi4 8GB to the limit, I can rest my hand on the top of it and feel the warmth distributed around the upper vanes. I was worried that the underside portion of the sink would transmit heat directly to my desktop, but the screws keep that part just a hair off of it, and the vane structure ensures underside airflow is maintained.
Just remember to peel the backing off of BOTH sides of the sticky pad they include with it. One of the layers is clear, so it's easy to forget.”
