“When I purchased my Raspberry Pi 4, I noticed that it ran way too hot for my liking. Heat is a killer when it comes to the computers we love so much, so as a way of protecting my investment, I purchased this to get rid of as much of the heat as passively possible. This heatsink is chonky, it has quite a bit of thermal mass and seems to keep the Raspberry Pi 4, much, much cooler. It came with the heatsink, an Allen key, screws, and some extra thermal pads. I didn't need instructions to set it up, as it was pretty straightforward. I've noticed a considerable drop in temperatures and it seems to be much harder to hit 80oC now. So I'm very happy with this, hopefully it'll help my always-on webserver Pi to last longer without overheating or dying early due to excess heat.”
“Nice design but has issues. Threads pull out as material is relatively soft. The area around the GPIO pins is limited on space. Fine for individual pin connections or stacking headers but not enough space for IDC ribbon cables. Works well for heat dissipation.”
