“It's a heatsink. It does its job. I ran a stress-test on a Pi 4B and it took more than 9 minutes of full load before it got to 80 celsius (which is when it starts thermal throttling). So for general usage, it's perfect.”
“So far this has stayed stuck onto the processor chip, but I am not totally confident that it will remain that way; the heat sink is considerably larger in area that the contact patch with the IC package, and a twisting movement is possible meaning that a gentle touch may remove it. otherwise it seems to duct away some heat, although this is hardly more than a subjective assessment!”
