“These units are great, in that they reliably deliver 5V at 3A but there are two design fails with this shape.
1/ I have an 8 socket extension lead that I use for multiple Pi power supplies & phone chargers. The two sockets in the extension lead are earth pin to earth pin and close enough that one of these units in a socket precludes its opposite being available. Another limitation is where a plug is below a shelf. If the bulk of the unit hung down, the antipattern would be an inability to use the unit in a socket near the floor. The preferable solution would be to allow the socket pins to be attached whichever way up the user prefers - being an AC supply means it doesn't matter (so far as I know).
2/ Shipping it with a USB socket on the unit and an appropriate USB lead would be more ecologically sound - not throwing a whole unit away when a lead wears out (you know, when the copper stress fractures round the plug's stress relief eventually)”
