“Good quality motor and gearbox, I've used it on a 1/16 scale RC model tank. It drives the from flail rotor used in model displays. The tank is a demining variant of the Sherman and scratch built. Thanks for your support.”
“We have been using Pololu micro metal gearmotors for a long time, in our class robot building exercises. The standard configuration with the gearbox output in-line with the motor, is great for most applications. However, if you want to make a really small robot then two motors back to back dictate a minimum size of about 125 mm diameter for two-wheeled "turtles".
The right angle gearbox allows the same motor to be used in a much smaller chassis, with the same performance. The only difference is the detent torque, which is quite low for the inline motors but effectively "infinite" for the right angle, due to the use of a worm gear. This can be a positive advantage in some applications, e.g. Sumo.
The motor has an extended rear shaft so the Hall effect tachometer modules can be fitted, very convenient. I am looking forward to buildlng a small robot with these new motors, and the 32 mm Pololu wheels”
“I have not used these parts yet, but they look to be just what I wanted for motorising plastic military models. The right-angled gearing saves a lot of work and will make the installation very much easier.”
