We use these motors in Combat Robots, more specifically the 150gram class. There are plenty of sellers of these motors, from cheap and cheerful Chinese bulk, through to the extremely tightly wound and high end Pololu motors. The are a class above the cheap Chinese motors, and find the middle ground below the Pololu ones, for a fraction of the price. I tend to wait until the store has a discount and then buy up a few of these, as they are reliable and solid. Longer shaft than most, which is handy for some bots, but comes as extra weight. But good mid level motors, and a reasonable price point.

This is the second pair of these motors I have purchased, very good price and work well on the Pololu Zumo bot! especially the NEW OLED version I have just purchased, this has a driver chip for each motor and gives more torque and slightly more speed. The extended back shaft is needed for the encoders on the Zumo. Great value for money.... Mel. 12/02/2022

Works really well. Couldn't saw off the back shaft all the way but it pushes into the motor body enough to let it sit flush .

I brought 2 of these for my old Zumo robot, the previous motors had been cheap Chinese made. They were too slow and would hardly drive over a pen etc. These are the right 50:1 gearing and have the added extended shaft at the rear to add sensors to count wheel turns, needed if you want consistant 90 Deg turns, etc. Well made like the Pololu ones but a lot cheaper

Great and powerful little motor. The extended back is great to pair with the magnetic quadrature encoder.
