“I have very little electricity knowledge but read these would be good as a background to digitise slides. Given some uncertainty with the electronics as in other posts i ordered 3. Using an old 5v 1A USB charger i first tried it with 1000 OHM which was a bit dark and then removed the chain of 100 OHM resistors. One of the panels then burned out at 0 Ohm and so I have been running the second for hours with a 100 Ohm resistor. Somehow, this does not really seems to fit with the spec sheet and some more explicit support might increase sales. They are not as bright as I thought, but are perfectly fine for slides. One thing, as they come with two white covers, is, that there is no way obvious to tell which of the which way around this works which could be easily labeled.”
“I wanted to use this to put old slides on to light them up and scan them to make photos using an app on my phone. Brilliant did exactly what I wanted”
“All OK but I thought it came for use on 5v so had to ask about the value of a series resistor, got an answer 200 ohms If I recall for the correct current. Not use dit yet as have to order resistors some time”
“This item does have the size in the description, but it seems to be even bigger live!
I've tried it at 3.3V and it lights out very nicely. Great for something like a small retro-illuminated letterboard.”
