“The Night vision camera is fantastic, it meets my needs exactly. I initially assembled the ribbon cable into the wrong slot on the Pi and could get it to work, of course. I used the MotionEyeOS for the operating system on a RPi4 and a USB stick to store the pics and videos. Motion triggered videos of wild life are amazing. The Tech support at Pimoroni is excellent, helping me so promptly, and being so pleasant, even though my problem was self-inflicted and totally avoidable.
I have bought from Pimoroni before and I will do so again.”
“Delivered promptly with the two infra-red lamps attached. Works well in the intended night time environment and pleased with the ability to adjust the focus. I use it with pikrellcam software.
No instructions included so you will have to research how to make the best use of it.
It needs a stand and would benefit from a longer (30cm) cable.

“We purchased this camera to find out how many Hedgehogs visit the feeding station each night. We have set it up with a Pi 4 and are currently using MotionEyeOS to detect the 'hogs and start filming.
The video quality is OK, decent enough for our needs, but when you consider it is filming in near total darkness and the low price. it is quite impressive.
Fiddling about indoors we have taken much better images at the full resolution controlling the camera in Python and using ISO 400. We are going to try a PIR detector with it instead of MotionEyeOS to get higher quality images of the 'hogs.
To summarise, a great camera for spying on the garden wildlife during the night, we are very pleased with it.”
