“I bought a 30 cm cable that (in my opinion) should be the standard length for Raspberry Pi Camera module, instead of the (too) short cable that came by default with it.
This allowed me to extend the cable long enough to position the camera in front of my robot rover attached to a servo motor, providing the freedom needed to move in every direction along 180 degrees.
The instructions to replace and attach the cable to Raspberry Pi and camera are very simple and worked at first attempt.
