Works as advertised, very neat when attaching USB devices (like networking capability) to a Pi Zero. For this price it is a no-brainer. Money well spent.

Stumbled across this and I am glad I did. It really minimises the space taken up by any attached USB devices. This is particularly useful if you are working on things like robots where space is a premium.

I was using a larger adapter and was having trouble powering a wi-fi dongle on the Pi Zero. It was only working with an externally powered USB hub. Replacing the adapter with the Shim allowed the wi-fi dongle to work connected directly to the PI Zero, making my setup much smaller! Awesome!

This has swifftly become the most used items in my arsenal. Not just for my pi but tablets, phones and laptop (with micro USB). So worth the purchase its small easy to use and great quality.

Perfect for things such as WiFi Dongles or the Logitech Unifying Receiver which are short and are meant to be left plugged in. Works not only with RPi0 but also with other OTG Capable devices such as a lot of smartphones. Very handy, small form factor, tight fit so it doesn't fall out accidentally but still possible to remove. Brilliant little shim!

Works perfectly but be warned if using the shim with the Official WiFI dongle, it is possible to push the shim too far into the dongle. If you do this the connectors on the shim lose contact with the dongle and it won't work. Stop pushing the shim in when the broad part is within the dongle and the narrow part is still fully exposed.
