“it powered up and USB peripherals worked fine however the Ethernet didn't work for me (and was the sole reason I bought it)..
Went and bought a Belkin usb to Ethernet which works a charm.”
“Does what it says on the tin. On the Pi Zero W I had to disable the onboard WiFi by adding 'dtoverlay=pi3-disable-wifi' to my /boot/config.txt - otherwise the ethernet adapter wasn't recognised - but once I'd figured that out it just works.”
“Doesn't work out of the box, which surprised me when cheap-eBay version work out of the box on Pis. Suspect it is faulty but still waiting to hear back from support...”
“I'm stunned. I just plugged this in, put in a network cable and dongle for a wireless keyboard and mouse, booted the pizero and, like magic everything worked like clockwork! I didn't have to do anything. If only all things computery worked like this!
For reference, on my pizero I got 45Mbit/s download using the speedtest command line utility. Note: This is probably about as fast as my internet connection actually is.”
