This will be a great addition to my matrix display tools. I bought a metal heatsink case for my pi4 and will have to be careful about shorting the pins

For more details about connecting up panels, please see my review of the 32 by 64 LED panels. I have purchased two of the Adafruit RGB bonnets. It is easy to fit onto a Pi 3 providing there are no other bits of hardware fitted to the board. For initial experiments, the spade connectors on the panels can be secured under the screw terminals, but for practical arrays extension cables and connectors (e.g. screw terminal blocks) can be employed. Use heavy duty red and black flexible cables for the LED power connections, I recommend 6A cable. If you are putting together a really big array, I also recommend having a radial connection to the panels rather than making a "daisy chain". There is a solder pad on the board for the higher resolution panels, but not needed for the 32 by 64 arrays.

Matrix Bonnet works pretty well. Was able to use it with the Node-Red.

Makes the connection between the RGB matrix and the Raspberry Pi very easy and would highly recommend.
