“Nicely made pieces that fit perfectly in the extrusion, they are plastic however so its not too difficult to over tighten and pull the thread out but they are cheap and do the job for small fixings.”
“While the quality of these is great, unfortunately (my fault) they don't fit my profile.
This is not due to the parts but due to my 1515 profiles being the makerbeam xl type.
The delivery was very quick and I am impressed with the quality of the parts.”
“OK for forces at right angles but hard to get tight enough to hold against forces parallel to the beam - the brass insert tends to pull out of the plastic slide before it gets tight enough. I found a small quantity of proper metal T-nuts for 1515 on Ebay once, but have not been able to get them since. These are so much better as much stronger and do not require to be slid in from an open end. I wish Pimoroni could stock these along with metal corner joints for 1515 sections.”
“I thought these were aluminium (see earlier review), but since found they are plastic with a brass insert unfortunately meaning the insert pulls out if over-tightened. Also using with the Chinese 1515 corner braces they are too long and do not fit between the locating lugs. I had to cut them down with a Dremmel as shown in the picture. I wish Pimoroni would put together a compatible set of 1515 hardware and put all the items in the same web shop category which should increase sales!”
