This doesn’t sound quite right.
As long as the Food Flask is being preheated, completely filled to the top and the food is put in as hot as possible, it should be keeping your food hot for up to 10 hours.

“I found that the flask is great apart from one design flaw. The lid is not insulated enough and so when I ate my lunch is was warm but not hot. I followed all the advice but then realised that the lid was very warm co.pared to the rest of the flask and it was loosing heat from the lid reducing its thermal retention capacity. Not wanting to give up on the flask ( i had bought 2), I knitted hats for both and this worked a treat in retaining the heat for longer. The lid definitely needs a rethink and better insulation.”
“Excellent product. I purchased 3 of the flasks, thankfully one for myself. Used mine to take soup to work. Followed the directions for use and can honestly say 5 hours later, burned my tongue! Piping hot to the last drop when I finally finished it an hour later; lots of interruptions. Would highly recommend. Lovely packaging too.”
