Most of the good reviews I can see are for the bottles, but this CALIX mug is totally unusable for Hot drinks.
Purchased to replace a Bodum one, and wish I hadn't, used today for first this weekend and immediately burnt my top lip.
The design flaw sit totally with the lid, the drinking spout is in totally the wrong place. As you put your mouth to drink, your top lip actually covers the hole where the drink comes from, it just doesn't work. The hole needed to be nearer the edge of the mug, this would have meant you can seal your mouth around the cup and not risk burning the inside of your lip as you tip it up to drink.”
“I selected straw lid on my way to checkout and it said it would be £0.00, great! I therefore stopped looking for a voucher code as I knew I’d saved £5 on the cost of the straw lid which was showing as 0. Received the order, no lid, spoke to support who are adamant I didn’t select straw lid- I did, I then went to do an example to buy again and show the straw lid being added to order for £0. This was a glitch apparently, then a few days later I get asked to review my purchase: the straw lid.. well: I never received it.”
