“I ordered the decking boards from Savoy having seen an offer advertised on their website. There was a £30 delivery charge as out of the area but the price was still competitive so I proceeded with the order. The actual order took 5 days to arrive. Upon arrival a number of boards were missing, many damaged and had to be returned to the wagan. The driver Neal was great and I felt sorry for him as it was the guys loading the wagon who are at fault. Upon starting to lay the decking it was apparent a large number of boards were only 2300mm instead of 2400mm so these had to be collected and replaced. Arrangements were put in place to swap these and provide the outstanding boards from the original delivery. They were collected And missing boards provided but no replacements for the short ones were delivered. This required a final visit to drop off the remaining boards. The boards in general were reasonably good although a few had poor finish and others heavily knotted and twisted. Nothing a bit of pressure couldn't sort out but shouldn't be the case. I struggle to understand how they are making any profit by miscutting lengths of timber and requiring 3 visits to make a correct delivery. Of I owned the company I would managing the team cutting the timber and loading the deliveries to make sure they are correct before leaving the yard. Basic stuff really. So overall 2 stars and would have been 1 except for the driver Neal who is a company champion and should get a bonus for the pr work he must do on a daily basis.”
