“These handrail brackets are quite solidly constructed, I bought them as additional brackets for an additional newel post, mistakenly thinking that they would be the same design as the ones supplied with the decking kit (which I also purchased). However, this is not the case. This bracket, rather than being a simple angle bracket, has a somewhat over-sized screw permanently fixed into one side of the bracket. This is OK if that is what you want, but personally I think it makes it rather more awkward to use. ( I actually used some alternative brackets that I had.)”
