“When you're out and about, do you pick up odd bits concerning your family tree that you want to keep safe until you get home: clippings, photos, cards, certificates and so on? Having this at the front of my file is perfect for sticking that sort of thing into. It'll take a full A4 sheet, and there's enough room to gather an unmanageable amount of stuff to sort out later. I also keep a 'credit card' size fresnel magnifier and a pencil in the holder, because you never know when you need one! :)”
