RootsMagic UK Platinum Edition is the latest version of RootsMagic software, and includes over £105-worth of Genealogy Resources.

Some of the new features in Version 7:

“A new purchase so still trying to get to grips with how it works. It does allow uploads from Ancestry which is quite easy but as of yet have still to download the voucher to enable start searching. I do hope that it gives me satisfaction in my continued searches.”

“Roots Magic 7 seems an easy-to-use program and I am already enjoying its user-friendly features and starting to find my way round. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to use the CDs included in the package as my new laptop does not have a CD drive. The other items included may be of some use at some stage but on reflection I should probably have ordered just the basic RM7 without the add-ons.”

“Seems a good package, although only had it a week or so yet. Very dissapointed in the related app for andriod tablets. Had emailed S&N to check if there was an app prior to buying, so the purchase was made on that assurance. When accepting that the app is something S&N have no control over (have emailed that & thats what they say), it does not work. Opens & immediately closes, cannot do anything with it at all had hoped to take my research with me on fhe tablet!”

“Roots magic will not show more than one brother or sister on the pedigree chart - it is a waste of time and I will be binning it.”

Dear Mr Chris Norman, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Unfortunately a pedigree chart will only show the direct ancestral line for an individual. Brothers and sisters would not normally be shown on pedigree charts. RootsMagic does have the ability to copy and paste charts together so you could combine a pedigree chart of one individual with a descendant chart of another to get the desired chart.
