This update of the ever-popular Torin features a new cushioning system and a lower profile for a responsive and smooth ride . Altra has removed the old strobel layer in the midsole and introduced Quantic cushioning resulting in a 2mm lower stack height without loss of impact protection, ensuring a faster, easier and lighter ride.

“I was having issues with bruised toenails and took advice from Hannah Walsh at hannahwalsh.co.uk. Hannah is a very experienced ultra runner and coach and she recommended these shoes. They have solved the problems within days. The Altra Torin 4.0 has a wide toe box, Hannah also recommended that I got a half size bigger than my normal shoe. I have had the shoes for three weeks now and regularly walk 20k without any issues, they are extremely light and comfortable.”

“Possibly the most comfortable running shoe I've ever worn. Perfect for natural running style with zero drop. Beats any barefoot type shoe I've had previously.”

“Comfy zero-drop shoe that is not over-cushioned. Large toebox so good for runners with wider feet. I rotate this shoe with two other pairs with more cushioning but this has still become my favourite shoe - even for those longer weekend runs. They wear small though - I had to exchange for a half-size bigger than normal.”

“Comfortable and responsive zero drop shoes that aren't overly cushioned. The toe box is very wide which is the main reason I went for them. My first run in them was a 10k at moderate pace and they felt great. I did have to go half a size up with these so they do wear on the small side.”
