15 Months into lockdown and I am on to my second pair. More great service from Run and Become.

I bought these for my partner, I'm on my second pair. He has wide feet like me. Although these don't come up super wide they fit both of us. And they are the most comfortable, light, flexible trail shoes. We both love them.

Love these shoes. Tread is excellent - feels very secure under foot. I have wide feet and the normal fit is just too narrow for me. I was so pleased to find the 5s were available in a wide fit.

There is a lot to like about the shoe. It was very comfortable, the upper has a good width, the lacing system works well and the grip looks good. A 10mm drop is, for me, excessive and I think a lower drop is better for stability on the trail even if you don't go down to a low drop shoe. But, the killer issues for me, that meant I had to return the shoe, was that the sole is quite a bit narrower than the upper and my fore foot spilled over the side of the sole. This would have become uncomfortable on a longer run. Such a shame that the sole isn't as wide as the upper, which will make this shoe unsuitable for many with wide feet.

Great trail runners! They have a snug yet very comfortable fit. The lugs on the sole are very grippy and give you confidence to run through slippy mud with ease. The upper has a mesh covering which stops any debris from getting in through the top of the shoe, which is a nice feature. The quick-lace system takes a little getting used to and may not be to everyone's liking, however, it is certainly quick to tighten you shoes and there are no worries of laces coming undone during a run. Overall, I have been really enjoying these shoes so far and look forward to every time I take them out in the mud!

So, early days with these - I've only put 15km on them on a couple of short but wet trails. Initial impressions were that they were a little narrow in the toebox compared to, say Brooks wide running shoes, but they seem to give a little while running. Similary they felt a little stiff initially, but have already broken in nicely. Surprisingly water resistant for a non-membrane shoe and clean up nicely. Traction on muddy trails is oustanding though at the cost of impact absorbion. Overall if you're looking for for a wide trail-specific shoe (I usually take EE for reference) you won't be dissapointed. Fit true to size length wise.
