Brooks' women's Ravenna is the stability option in Brooks Energize category of lighter, faster and more responsive running shoes. As with Brooks’ other new stability shoes this season, Ravenna loses its firm medial post and instead gets an evolved version of their GuideRail system. Guide Rails sit just above the midsole and extend a little way up into the upper on the inside and outside of the shoe where they do the same job as the side bumpers in a bowling alley - preventing the foot from rotating too far outwards and keeping the foot in its optimum position for injury prevention.
