This 50mm Shepherd Ball Metal Castor has a peg stem with a socket fitting ideal for fitting into wooden legs. “Replaced plastic bed castors which had broken with these. Have only just fitted them so can't speak to long term use but they appear to be all metal and although quite expensive seem worth the cost.”
