From exploring new towns to wandering the coastline, The Alvei Coat is the ideal choice for staying warm and protected during cold winter days. Its long-length cut and asymmetrical front wrap make it perfectly suited for the city and town environment, while the Insuloft insulation inside the coat provides effective protection from cold temperatures.
The asymmetric front wrap uses snap closures to conceal the centrally aligned zip, adding that extra touch of style. Stay warm and comfortable while still being able to move easily, with 120g of Insuloft insulation in the body of the coat, and 100g on the arms.
When cold winds pick up, you can increase your protection from the cold with the unique shawl-style collar filled with 200g weight of Insuloft. When unfurled it stands around your neck to keep you sheltered from the cold winds.
The Alvei Coat has a Durable Water Repellency finish to help protect you from light rain showers and splashes. If you get caught in heavier rainfall and water manages to make its way to the inner insulation, the Insuloft synthetic filling won’t lose its warmth when wet.
With two large external secure zipped microfleece lined pockets, you’ll have plenty of room to store your possessions. For your more essential belongings, there’s one secure zipped pocket on the inside of the jacket.
For convenience and practicality, this coat has a built-in pack pocket in the hem line that allows it to be easily stored and packed away.

“Love my new coat. I wear 10 to 12 and the small fits well. So light but so warm, and a good length. I'm not keen on hoods, restrict sight and hearing, I'd rather wear a hat, and the collar is very snug. My colour, and a good price in the sale.”

“The warmest coat ever! It’s a bit long on me (I’m only 5’1”), but does not ‘swamp’ me, and the ‘zip plus poppers’ set up means it’s very cosy, The two-way zip makes it comfortable to wear, especially getting in and out of the car. The off-set style is an unusual touch, and learning to do the poppers up at an angle (not helped by the fact I’m very left handed, and the poppers are on the left) is an art in itself, but it looks very smart, is very warm and very lightweight. I love the shawl collar that can be turned up to keep my neck warm, and is a much better idea in the wind than a hood (they never seem to stay in place!) Sizing in spot on. I made the mistake of ordering a size up to accommodate a warm mid layer, but had to exchange for my normal smaller size as it was far too big. Perfect both around town and to keep the chilly North Sea winds, currently racing down from the Arctic, at bay.”

“I wrote a review and now it's gone. I guess you didn't like the comments about the difficulties with poppers and that this"feature" was making the coat pull and become uncomfortable.”

“Well, today I went to the shop with the full intention of buying this coat.. however, I pull the zip up, great, lovely fit. However the poppers made it very tight and pulled. The poppers were so tight even my husband with 2 hands really struggled. Very very disappointed”
