The Hyde Mac is constructed using our 2-Layer Barricade Standard with a Polyester face fabric and a mesh lining for total wet weather protection – even in the most challenging conditions.
Made from a high-performance Polyester yarn which is surprisingly soft and incredibly strong, offering great freedom of movement and comfort in wear. It is totally waterproof, fully windproof and very breathable. We’ve also given it a special Durable Water Repellency finish, which means rain beads up on the surface and runs off without soaking into the fabric.
There are two secure zipped drop-in pockets at the waist, which are perfect for your essential items. In addition, there is also an extra internal pocket, providing safe storage for your valuables. The Hyde Mac is incredibly versatile with a smart yet casual look, great for multi-use across a broad range of environments from city streets to weekend breaks.

“Very good style and fit, brought to go walking in the rain with welly boots on. I am now totally covered from head to foot. Brought the XL so I am able to fit a fleece underneath for colder Temperatures. Only one slight niggle is the strap to fasten the cuff at the wrist, it only has 2 buttons which do not tighten the cuff enough. So in a cold wind it will be blowing cold air up your arms. So hence the 1 star reduction.”

“I'm moving back to a city in the north f England and ditching the car so I anticipate a fair amount of wet weather walking to work, shops and the pub. A Mac was needed and as I trust Rohan they were the first place I looked - although perhaps more accurately I noticed the Hyde Mac had 50% off in the sale and although it was still a lot of money for a coat, I was confident Rohan would have got the basics right: would it fit, would it truly be waterproof in the worst downpours, and would it be breathable so you don't get soaked by your own sweat rather the rain. The fit was immediately good (Rohan Large rarely lets me down) and I was particularly pleased that the zip started just below my waist so I had full movement of my legs and if I wanted to cycle in the Mac I think it would be perfectly fine. There are press studs down to below the knees if required. To test the other two criteria I took the Hyde Mac to Amsterdam a week or so ago for a very, very wet couple of days wandering around the city. I'm pleased to say that with the hood removed and coupled with a Tilley winter hat, the Mac coped admirably at keeping me dry on both the inside of the coat as well as the outside. Another bonus, though no surprise for Rohan, is that it packs up as small as could be expected, fitting in the front pocket of my roller case easily when not required. This is helped by the lack of liner, which I prefer as I'd rather add my own middle layer to suit the conditions. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and although it will only come out on the worst weather days, I'm confident I'll get many years of efficient use from this coat,”

“I bought a Hyde Mac for my wife and one for myself. We haven't had chance to use them yet but I have one small disappointment. The ladies version has a wire at the front of the hood to give it more shape over the eyes (especially useful for those who wear glasses) while the men's does not. Great value in the sale.”
