Thanks Jill - our Earl Grey is currently being considered for a Great Taste Award. Did you know that when you buy supermarket teabags they comprise the "fannings" which is literally the dust (usually swept up) from the large leaf created during the drying process? This is why the tea is always inferior in taste as the large surface area not only makes it much stronger but more astringent. Always get a good quality large leaf. It's all in the taste... and ours is a stonker.
“I have been trying to find a decent Earl Grey for years - and suspected a conspiracy as the Bergamot Oil was not in evidence like it used to be. Fortnums, Betty's of Harrogate - it was nice but a bit insipid. Rins EG is smoky and the Bergamot is fantastic - if you like true EG this is for you”
