“Decaf beans stale rapidly, so roasting to order is important. The ones I received were over a week post roast and produced no crema, and lacked any body. Tasted very stale. Last order of these was much better.”
Oh dear, we are sorry you had a poor experience. We have just had a quick look and the beans were sent out within 10 days of roasting date. From our experience, and from when we cup and serve our decaf on the bar, they certainly do not taste stale and make a delicious cup. Decaf coffee is notoriously more difficult to dial in than other beans so this may have led to inconsistency in the crema. We are not a roastery that roast to order, we send all beans out within 2 weeks of the roast date (optimum drinking is 10-12 days post roast).
