Please Note All The P45 Listings Include Power Supply,Music Rest & Sustain Pedal What We Think This stage piano is brilliant, it has 10 premium quality voices that sound fantastic, it has a dual, layer and duo playing modes which are great if you want to put say piano and strings over each other. It has 88 weighted keys which means that it feels like a real acoustic piano. I would recommend this piano to anyone who is looking for a portable full scale piano. Rimmers Music I was recommended to look at the Yamaha P45 digital piano and Wow it certainly is worth a look. With the 88 graded hammer action keys ,it really is lovely to play and the sound is fantastic. I was a bit concerned about the weight as I play for a small choir, and at 11.5kg I was surprised how easy it was to carry. It has 10 different sounds , all great sounds as the P45 uses awm stereo sampling which is really realistic. The piano has built in reverb, which really does add a lovely ambience to the overall sound of the piano . I was surprised ,you can also play 2 sounds together by pressing the 2 keys related to those sounds at the same time, a really nice feature , the piano and strings are great together. Southport Store The P-45 is a fantastic introduction to Yamaha’s range of portable digital pianos, with 88 fully weighted keys and a Graded Hammer Standard Keyboard, Yamaha have succeeded in creating a piano with a good weighted touch which has still retained portability. The P-45 is a brilliant piano for beginners, featuring many aids for practice. The record function means that the player can record one hand and then play along with the other, or even record both hands to listen back to and improve on, making practice a more engaging experience. The P-45 also includes Duo Mode which splits the keyboard into two identical halves, meaning that the pupil can copy the teacher exactly without the confusion of playing up or down the octave. The P-45 is incredibly simple to control, with just one button to hold down and use in conjunction with various keys on the keyboard. If the player prefers a more visual way of controlling their piano, the P-45 also connects to the Digital Piano Controller app, and can be controlled via a smart device. The P-45 is a brilliant piano for every level of player, and would be a great addition to any musical environment. Edinburgh Store True piano feel Equip yourself with piano skills you can take anywhere. Practising on a P45 digital means you'll never be thrown by the feeling of playing a different instrument. No matter what sort of piano you sit down at you won't have to adjust your approach. Authentic features like the graded hammer standard keyboard and the sustain pedal give the natural feel of playing on an acoustic. The keys work with a mechanism that replicates the hammer action in an acoustic piano. This gives you authentic-feeling resistance when you press down, in contrast to button-like keys on a non-weighted instrument. Realistic touches like the heavier grading at the bottom of the keyboard and a lighter feel for the higher keys are true to a piano's nature. Likewise, you'll get used to using a pedal just like one you'd find on an acoustic piano, making this instrument even more worthwhile to play on. It creates a realistic pedal action as it sustains your notes. Authentic features like this make the P45 a favourite amongst teachers to help students build proper technique. Performance-ready sound You'll impress with an expressive piano tone. The P45 is great to practise on but it is more than up to the job of performance too. You won't be compromising on sound with this entry-level piano, which is one of the joys of going digital. As you play on your P45, your music comes out through the piano's powerful, but discreetly placed, speakers, creating an impressive stereo sound. You can practise late into the night without bothering your neighbours by plugging in headphones. Then, you can dazzle with a polished performance by turning up the volume and filling a venue. Advanced wave memory technology is used to create the P45's authentic tone. This is a sampling system which applies high-quality digital filter technology to recorded pieces of audio to create just the right sound for each key. It is able to realistically create the variations in waveform that come when you play in different

Very happy overall, the p-45b has well-weighted keys and good samples allowing for truly expressive playing. I have not found it wanting technically in regard to the piano section, which is what it's all about. The keys are slightly heavier than the upright acoustic I was previously used to. As a compact approximation of an acoustic piano it performs very well. The interface is somewhat arcane but allows for quite a lot of customisation, personally I need to check the manual for all but the most basic functions. Touch sensitivity and some other settings seem to be saved with power-off but not others like reverb. The non-piano sounds are novelties and don't seem to be up to the standard of the piano section, I think that's to be expected though. The bundled sustain pedal is flimsy but functional, be sure to plug it in before power on or it will work backwards! My bundle didn't include the carry case or stand so can't comment on them. Excellent service from Rimmers Music.
