Zulu 2km Radio Link 868MHz
The ZULU Arduino provides a radio (modem) link with easy interface for up to 2Km range. Range may be further extended with a suitable antenna.
All RF operation is auto controlled (with error checking etc) so the ZULU Arduino can be treated as a simple Communications device. This shield is also compatible with the RF Solutions Blizzard Modem. The shield is ready to plug and play with default setting serial port set to 4800, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (hardware CTS/RTS).

“The units work very well (I bought 3) and the example code was easy to use and make some initial tests. Only one criticism. They are wired to the hardware serial port which on UNO devices is also the USB port therefore you cannot use both at the same time which makes debugging very difficult. I snipped these pins and also switched to using a MEGA device which has 3 additional Hardware Serial ports. Two short jumpers had the Zulu's working on Hardware Serial 1 very easily. The manual is brief but accurate! More info is probably on line?”
