The RF-LoRa module is a high-performance, cost-effective radio module featuring the Semtech SX1272 LoRa™ technology, which enables ultra-long-range, spread spectrum communication with excellent interference immunity and minimal current consumption.
This module includes essential components such as a crystal, RF changeover switch, impedance matching network, and optimized track layout, providing a simple digital interface and direct antenna connection. This design facilitates a plug-in RF solution with maximum efficiency. Programming the module is done via an SPI interface.
The RF-LoRa module allows for a fast and easy-to-market solution with cost-effective, license-exempt hardware. It is CE compliant and pending FCC approval. Provided that certain procedures are followed, this module can be integrated into final applications without the need for additional FCC approval or testing.
It is ideal for a wide range of applications, including home automation, RF alarms, sensor networks, telemetry, meter reading, irrigation systems, and general-purpose wireless applications. The module boasts a range of up to 16 km, an integrated LoRa modem (Semtech SX1272), a built-in RF switch, and high sensitivity down to -130 dBm. It also features a built-in bit synchronizer for clock recovery, a temperature sensor, and a low battery indicator, all within a compact form factor of 23mm x 20mm.
