“To be honest it’s been a nightmare I had an accident on the 25th June where it was nobody fault but mine when you go onto the wed site to make a claim it doesn’t tell you anywhere that the claim goes to another company who only deal with third party claims and they are just as difficult to contact by phone as is MCE I sent a number of e- mails to MCE and even sent a letter with all the documents and never got any response from anyone. I even tried to get through live chat on there web site I gave my details and the person who was on the other end of the line just didn’t reply. I had to make my own arrangements to get my bike recovered as I was in the amberlance and finally 18 days after the accident and the other company contacting me and telling me that they are not dealing with my claim as it was up to MCE to deal with it I managed to get some progress with my claim. I had enough problems of my own due to the injuries that I had and on the top of all this at time I would have been happy to say sod the bike at times you need help I had an accident it’s not rocket science all that I ask is do your job”

“My motorcycle policy expired last year after which I garaged the bike and left it until now. When the policy ended MCE didn't send me a proof of no claims bonus. I called them to request one and was told the information was there, they couldn't understand why I hadn't received one and they will send it through. It will take between 24 to 48 hours. It's been over 48 hours and it's still not arrived. Once again I'm going to have to chase them rather than them just honouring their agreement; great at taking the money though, they were very efficient at that.”

“The sales advisor became increasingly impatient as the call progressed from quotation to sale. After taking payment details from and then confirming the policy in place, the advisor asked me wait and then put me on hold. She didn't return to the call for several minutes so I terminated the call. I suspect that this was her way of trying to punish me.”

“Found reasonably priced insurance, although wasn't aware that when I called MCE insurance to verify and pay for the policy, the phone call was EXPENSIVE. MCE should have a FREE phone number. Very disappointing.”

“Having obtained a quote on line from MCN Compare, I was able to go ahead with the purchase of my new Aprilia Tuono Factory. I chose to use MCE and phoned them to confirm the details and what was being offered. The price actually reduced, and was able to complete the process within a few minutes. Not only was the price competitive, but the feeling of having a company that understands motorcyclists with their sponsorship of the British Superbike championship was a nice bonus.”
