“This review is a reflection of my interaction with Devitt insurance NOT the RAC. Cheap insurance yes but if you want to change or cancel they make you pay. Decided to cancel as didn't like customer service (was on phone for over half an hour on three occasions), got my details wrong on the form and wouldn't accept my paperwork. When asked to cancel they said there would be a charge (£25) plus an additional charge due to having insurance running for seven days, but we're unable to tell me how much - can only do this after I have cancelled. Had committed so pulled the plug. £80 they took in total and still waiting on the balance being returned after two months. AVOID. Ended up at Bennett's bike insurance and for a small amount more have had a very smooth transaction with no issues with customer service.”

“RAC are one of many bike insurers that are a branded version of another company. No complaints so far although I have not had to make a claim touch wood. Policy flexibility remains my main bug bear with all insurers not just RAC.”
