“Appalling customer service. Quick and easy to purchase but be careful if you keep your bike at another address. I wasn't aloud to keep my bike in a secure garage at a different address as apparently I did not know the owner of the garage well enough. how good you need to know someone that owns a garage you use is something they could not clarify. My worst nightmare would be to deal with these guys in case of a claim, and if you need to update address details cost a small fortune. Rac bike insurance is a load of @@@@ stay away from them”

“I'd had trouble insuring a bike without it being garaged and MCN found a lot of insurers who would do it, although the brokers said they couldn't. Plus it was much cheaper this way.”

“Reasonably easy to sort out. Ended up paying a little more than MCN Compare suggested as I could not enter all relevant details through there. They were fine with my Motad exhaust, which I have other companies demand a 30% loading for. Of course the true test of an insurer is when you actually require the services you have paid for, and I don't plan on testing that.”

“As I have car insurance with the RAC, I'm somewhat disappointed by the fact they haven't picked up on the fact that I have taken out a separate motorcycle policy with them.”

“Whilst I was initially pleased with the quote I received via Compare and took out the offered insurance, nearly 3 weeks later I was stung by a 10% increase that I had to pay or lose even more money. My last bike was written off and liability admitted by other party, resulting in a payout. Due to injury I could not buy a replacement for some time - the eventual purchase was 9 days before policy renewal. I declared everything required on the application, but later had the surcharge added. I had no choice but to pay as cancelling at that stage would have added even more costs.”
