Albeit I got a reasonable quote however afterwards I found out the hidden bits, which were not made clear to me. This was the excess - totalling in most cases £800. Completely unreasonable and sadly I didn't notice this till just after the cooling off period. Thank you for helping but I woud need convincing to use the service again.

The price was the best thing. The only way the policy could have been better would be to include ' Cover to ride other bikes' but they don't do it. I have been with out a vehicle for over three years, and so have lost my 20 odd years NCB, but even with out NCB , the policy was a good price.

I filled in the MCN compare info honestly and what I considered to be correctly, paid and obtained docs. A week later once riding I received an email saying I'd filled the form in incorrectly and that if I didn't pay another £400 my insurance would be voided. With little choice I had to pay more (due to an error on the questionnaire not me) and received a very brusque email from eBike. Not impressed, robbery as far as I am concerned.

I can't wait for the year to be up so I can get away from this company. The price seemed reasonable, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but buyer beware, they are an online company so if you have to call they charge a premium rate. I had just moved house so when asked by e-mail for a copy of my drivers licence in 7 days or my policy would be cancelled and I would have to pay an admin fee. I replied, following their instructions to explain I was waiting for a new one with my new address, would they accept the old one in the mean time. No reply. I resent the same explanation every day for 7 days until their deadline using their reply system and their web site customer services link. On the 7th day I had to phone them. after about 20 minutes (on a mobile at a premium rate) they confirmed they had my e-mails but a tech fault meant they were not picked up and actioned, but i had until the end of the month. They prommised to refund my phone bill. When my licence arrived a few days later, I sent it and asked for a confirmation. Nothing. Then came the 7 days to cancel notification so I was forced to call them again, another premium rate call. "yes we have your licence, ignore the reminders". They kept coming and i even have the letter saying my policy has been cancelled, along side the Customer Services e-mail saying everything is OK and ignore any further reminders. My phone bill for these calls, £60+, the refund... they didn't reply to the e-mail so i gave up. I could have paid £60 more, and got a better product by going 2 steps down the list. I am dissapointed that MCN support such a poor insurance provider and it has tainted my view of them. Ask yourself, do you trust an on line only provider that has systems that cannot deal with simple e-mails? I don't, I will not use these again and will continue to advise anyone to keep clear of them. David G.
