Perhaps it’s me, but I thought the fruitiness was a little flat, and was left with a slight aftertaste that was a little bitter somehow.

“If you get the grind right for an espresso machine this is a delicious coffee. Slightly too fine at first got an overpowering marzipan feel to it. Slightly coarser and it was just right. For reference this was a tiny bit coarser a grind on my equipment than the Rave Signature or Italian Blend. The results when its right are very good indeed. The fruitcake flavour note is bang on. You even get that feel of when a fruitcake has browned dried fruit from the baking. I have this as an oat milk flat white. I often make an espresso of whatever coffee I have on the go for a cycling mate and he has that before we head off on the bikes. He had this one and in his Irish lilt said "now that's a good one!" High praise from him I can tell you.”
