“It's probably me, but it doesn't taste much different to cheaper Supermarket beans eg. Taylors Rich Italian. This is the fourth fresh roasted bean variety I have tried with similar results. I achieve neutral espresso taste, between sour and bitter, but nothing special. Latte is good whatever bean. On my Sage Barista Express machine with non pressurised basket I have tried varying grinds, dose, extraction amount, temperature and I believe my distribution is optimal, using Weiss stirrer and adjustable tamper. Pucks are dry with no fissures or residue. Basket and head are preheated and dried. I have tried hard and softened tapwater with no difference and draw the line at that.”
