“Very poor instructions. No completed view of spreader. Illustrations poor. I am not sure I have assembled the wheels correctly. Photo is unclear about how bushes are to be assembled. Attaching bolts need more washers for secure assembly. I used extra from my own supply. The gauge and lever assembly is ugly, untidy and tends to loosen and doesn't hold its calibration. I shall have to make my own parts to replace the parts I am not happy with. The instructions for calibration in the manual say set dial to no 2, the quadrant on your machine starts at no 8!!!! I do not see why you don't give trials using different standard known commodities, i.e. lawn sand, lawn seed, fertiliser, etc. I bet you wished you hadn't asked me to submit a review!”

Thankyou for the review Colin – despite the ‘constructive criticism’. We welcome this type of feedback, especially, as we can aim to implement specific improvements. The spreader, despite mixed instructions, is very good once set up and calibration does depend on the end user and the granule size passing through the hopper. We have done a quick video on calibrating the spreader – which is on the listing and this is more useful than the instructions as speed of the user will ultimately determine the output per m2 and the corresponding rate setting on the handle.
