Read WCF Ltd T/A Progreen Reviews

Nematode based biopesticide for natural, biological control of Chafer Grub in lawns and grass.
NemaTrident Products are uniquely supplied as a twin-pack solution containing the naturally occurring insect parasitic nematode together with the Nemaspreader soil conditioner which typically gives a 20-30% advantage in performance over alternative products by allowing the nematodes to move more freely through the soil hunting down the pest.
This new pest control product is safe, sustainable and provides from 90-100% kill rates to above listed insect pests down to 12℃ – making it the most effective and flexible product in the market. Check your soil temperature with a Soil Probe Thermometer.

For use in soil temperatures as low as 12℃ (for at least 3 hours a day), typically from April until October
Natural product with no side effects
Leaves no harmful residue
No harvest interval required
No pest resistance to nematodes
Active against the chafer grub larvae
Safe and easy to apply

NemaTrident C contains naturally occurring parasitic nematodes Heterorhabditis bacteriophora for the biological control of the chafer grub larvae including Welsh Chafer (Hoplia philanthus), Garden chafer (Phyllopertha horticola), Summer chaper (Amphimallon solstitalis), May beetle (Melolontha melolontha) and Brown chafer (Serica brunnea).
Supplied with NemaSpreader soil transformer (containing Alcohol Ethoxylate 20% w/w) for better nematode dispersal in the soil giving more reliable results.
This new pest control product is safe, sustainable and provides from 80-95% kill rates for chafer grub control down to 12℃, making it the most effective and flexible product in the market.
How NemaTrident CT Plus works

Nematodes actively search out chafer grub larvae in soil.
The infective nematodes penetrate the larvae and release deadly bacteria in to the larvae.
The infected larvae die and a new generation of infective nematodes develop inside the host.
New infective juveniles emerge from the dead larvae and go in search of other larvae to infect.

Application instructions
NemaTrident C should be stored in a refrigerator at 5 -10℃. Both NemaTrident C and Nemaspreader should not be exposed to temperatures lower than 0℃ and more than 30℃. Use before the expiry date.
Application conditions
After application, the soil surface should be kept moist for approximately two weeks. It is important to understand that nematodes are living creatures and require constant soil moisture to move within the soil profile.
For best results

Nematodes are susceptible to ultra-violet light and degradation. Apply during early morning or late evening. Avoid application in bright sunlight.
Apply when you expect the soil or growing media temperature to be over 12℃ for at least 3 – 6 hours per day.
All filters should be removed from spraying equipment to avoid blockages.
Avoid excessive irrigation just after treatment
Spraying equipment must be thoroughly decontaminated if other insecticides have been used.

Application

Add the pack of Nematrident and the NemaSpreader together in a bucket with 5-10 L (depending on pack size) of water to make a concentrated stock solution.
After emptying, rinse the pack as the nematodes often cling to the packaging.
Stir the concentrated solution until all lumps are dissolved. Repeat stirring every 15 minutes to prevent the nematodes settling at the bottom of the bucket.
This solution can be applied with either a watering can or with a NemaSprayer for efficient coverage of larger areas.
If applying through the Nemasprayer some users add a teabag to the stock solution to dye it brown and indicate when the reservoir of stock solution is empty
Take 1 L of your concentrated solution and add it to a watering can and top up with either 4 or 9 L (dependent on nematode pack size) of clean water.
Apply the nematode solution immediately with a watering can or with the Nema-Sprayer (hose end feeder).
Following application apply additional water to wash the solution into the soil for best results.

As part of an integrated pest management approach, Amvista Chafer Special Turf Fertiliser has been shown to be detrimental to chafer larvae and helps speed up damaged grass recovery.
Why are Nematrident products the best available option for the biological control of soil pests giving typically 20-30% better control than alternative products?:

They are uniquely supplied in a twin pack containing a soil conditioner (Nemaspreader) which ensures an even distribution and survival of the nematodes in the soil profile
They contain species of nematodes specific to Nematrident products and in some cases two separate species to help activity at lower soil temperatures
All Nematrident products are dispatched with extremely high levels of viability which is backed up by rapid refrigerated transport to the end user

Customer service excellent. Received a call within a few minutes of placing order informing me product would be dispatched on the Monday, as it was chilled. Instructions to use very clear and product easy to use. As to whether it has got rid of the wire worm from our allotment then it is too early to say. We have our fingers crossed.

I really appreciated the level of personal technical advice that you provided about using the product. We have now applied it to the grass area which was being ploughed by the badger, and he has not returned so far. Fingers crossed!!.
